Save Her Soul Foundation

A Peek About Us

Our History

Save Her Soul Foundation initially started in 2021 but was formally established in 2025 with a vision to empower women and promote mental wellbeing. Founded by Engineer Ganiyat Anifowose, a passionate advocate for mental health, who aims to create a safe and supportive space for women to seek help and thrive by providing comprehensive resources, unwavering advocacy, and opportunities for personal growth and community integration. Our aim is to foster a compassionate and inclusive community where every woman can achieve her highest potential, experience personal growth, and enjoy a life filled with dignity, respect, and joy.

The Genesis of Our Foundation

The economic difficulties in Nigeria have had a profound impact on the mental well-being which has led to increased stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues among the population, with women being disproportionately affected. Women often bear the brunt of these challenges due to their roles in families and communities, found themselves struggling without adequate support. Recognizing this pressing need, Engineer Ganiyat, a passionate advocate for mental health, envisioned a foundation that would provide a safe and empowering environment for women to seek help.
Therefore, our foundation was born from a deep-seated need to address the mental health challenges faced by women, particularly in the wake of economic hardship in Nigeria. This reality inspired Engineer Ganiyat Anifowose to take action and create a space where women could find the support and resources they needed to navigate their mental health journeys.

Our Initial Steps

In 2021, we informally started the foundation by offering counseling services and support groups, creating a community where women could share their experiences and find solace in knowing they were not alone. Our early initiatives highlighted the urgent need for mental health services tailored to mentally-challenged women's unique experiences.

Our Commitment Today

Today, our foundation remains dedicated and continues to uphold its mission of empowering mentally-challenged women and promoting mental wellness. We remain dedicated and continue to provide a wide range of services, from individual therapy to community workshops, all designed to support women on their journey to mental well-being. We are proud of the impact we've made and remain committed to addressing the mental health challenges faced by indigent women affected by the economic hardship in Nigeria. We look forward to continuing our mission for years to come.

Our Milestones and Growth

As the foundation grew, we expanded our services to include empowering women financially by sponsoring them to learn a skill or a trade which invariably would not enable them become absolutely dependent on their families or partners. These efforts allowed us meet the needs of mentally-challenged women and provide comprehensive mental health support. Key milestones in our journey include:

Launch of our first major mental health awareness campaign, which brought attention to the challenges faced by women and encouraged open discussions about mental health. We also had our first batch of beneficiaries.

Ongoing empowerment of more beneficiaries. Opening of our first counseling support system, a dedicated space where women could receive professional support in a safe and welcoming environment.

Introduction of the extension of our empowerment program to underserved communities and ensured that mental health support was accessible to all women, regardless of their circumstances.

Our Goals

As Save Her Soul Foundation grows, we will expand our services to include therapy sessions, support groups, and educational workshops. In 2021, we launched our first empowerment program, which provided funding and mental health support to these women. In 2025, we had mentally-challenged women in underserved communities being our beneficiaries. Our goals in the coming years are:
